Job Summary OVERVIEW

 As a production supervisor in our Firewood Packaging Dept., you will be responsible for managing the process of packaging firewood from beginning to end literally, from cutting logs to size & than splitting them, to the prepping of the firewood (Drying),as well as the  Packaging of the firewood and the final step of loading the finished  product. You will lead a diverse and skilled manufacturing team with the primary goal of properly organizing available staff members to achieve an efficient and productive workday. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting.

Pay Salary (Above Industry Avg)
Schedule/Shift A Shift                               Monday thru Thursday                                6:30 am to 4:30 pm

B Shift                               Monday thru Thursday                                     8:30 pm to 6:30 am

C Shift                             Friday, Saturday, and Sunday                       6:30 am to 6:30pm


Essential Duties of the Job  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Helps manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results

·         Enforces company policies and guidelines

·         Assists workers by offering personal growth opportunities

·         Implements cost-saving strategies and techniques

·         Ensures that production plans are completed by a certain time

·         Contacts appropriate sources for repair issues

·         Counsels employees on how to achieve an optimal output or workflow

·         Resolves issues and disputes between manufacturing employees

·         Creates and maintains professional schedules

·         Communicates with and assists other manufacturing departments as needed

·         Evaluates the condition of production equipment

·         Maintains a clean and safe environment for all workers

·         Compiles and analyzes production records

Job Qualifications .

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent coaching and communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Strategic planning skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced work enviorment
  • Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
  • Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
