Job Summary This position is responsible for assisting the maintenance department by coordinating and maintaining the parts & service for repairs to both the industrial and transportation equipment.
Pay Competitive Salary Based on Experience
Schedule/Shift Standard Business Shift.Monday – Friday

7:00am – 4:30pm            

Essential Duties of the Job
  • Parts management for all maintenance departments within Performance Corp., including Pallet, Transportation, Mill, and Firewood.
  • Responsible for maintenance data entry and/or file management for the following:
    • Weekly Mileage Tracker, PTC & PPC Work Orders, DOT annual inspections, and Preventative Maintenance orders working within our Trailer Management System (TMNT) and ELD System (Samsara)
  • Creating & sending Purchase Orders for parts based on need (recurring parts only) or request by Supervisor
  • Maintaining accuracy of received parts by matching requisitions to work order to specific equipment
    • Move all received parts to designated staging locations
    • Label all received parts to clearly communicate their use
  • Responsible for managing inventory of parts through communication with our preferred vendors
  • Contacts vendors/suppliers to inform of parts or service needs
  • Communicates with Supervisors/Transportation Coordinator to inform of equipment service or parts needed
  • Driving to obtain emergency parts, as needed at local vendors
  • Identify discrepancies in processes including incomplete or overdue Maintenance Schedules or paperwork that is completed insufficiently by mechanics
  • Maintains general understanding of equipment and processes within the organization to ensure
  • Work alongside the Buyer and Maintenance Area Leaders to maximize equipment up-time
  • Cooperates with company policies to complete jobs.
Job Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.·         Education & Experience

o   Certificate from college or technical school; or 3-5 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Communication Skills

o   Ability to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

o   Strong verbal and written communication skills

o   Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

·         Mathematical Skills

o   Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

o   Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.

·         Computer Skills

o    Knowledgeable in the use of computers, including the ability to enter information into Microsoft Excel, use Microsoft Word, and other programs as required.

·         Reasoning Ability

o   Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

o   Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

o   Must be able to “think outside the box”.
