Jerry Brill and his son, Jim founded the company in 1981 after identifying a need for pallets and repair of pallets at a few of Jerry’s freight customers. As word of the Brill’s commitment to quality and service grew, the business naturally grew as well. After making a commitment to continuous profitable growth, Jim Brill assumed ownership of Performance in 1983, and has provided leadership and direction for the organization ever since.

Today, Performance is a leading wood products manufacturer as well as a growing transportation services provider located in Seymour, Wisconsin. Performance manufactures in excess of 2,000,000 new and reconditioned pallets, skids, and crates annually at their 105,000 square foot facility located on 22 acres in the Seymour Industrial Park.

Production of all new lumber product lines is supported by Performance’s lumbering operation located in Carney, MI. This facility generates over 12 million board feet of hardwood materials annually including high grade lumber sold for a variety of applications.

Performance operates its own fleet of over 40 semi-tractor trucks and in excess of 350 trailers. This fleet provides daily freight transportation services to a wide variety of customers throughout the United States while guaranteeing on-time delivery service to all pallet clients. Regional and State Plus drivers pull 53′ high cube van trailers, flat beds and walking floor / open top trailers to meet various customer freight needs.

Employees at Performance work in a team based environment and are recognized as the company’s greatest asset. Through job skills training and open communications with team leaders and managers, their efforts and ideas support an ongoing company commitment to being “customer focused and cost competitive” in a fast-paced, labor intensive industry.
